Our Vision

Welcome to the community of determined creatives who want to make their passion their living.

If you’re here, we believe you might be or have been in similar situations like us.

Many times, just knowing that you’re not alone can make a huge impact on your self-belief that you can make this happen. Because you can. To be an artist IS a real job and you can make it YOUR job too.

When we met in October 2016, we immediately realised our shared passion for the arts and creation. In fact, it was our passion for a creative lifestyle, despite widely different artistic backgrounds, that made us inseparable from day one.

Charles &Elin

Charles has a solid academic art background with a Bachelors and Masters from the renowned “Beaux Arts de Paris”. But if you would ask him, nothing of that matters if you want to be an artist. Your art is within you and to be trained in school can sometimes even limit your own freedom of expression. You are trained in a certain style and to study other artist’s work instead of following your own voice.

Elin on the other hand, is a completely self-taught artist with a B.A in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Her dream was always to go to Paris to draw and do art, but ended up falling for the social expectations of a “proper education”. In hindsight, and with the encouragement of Charles, she realised that it does not reduce the value of her artworks.

The point is that you’re background is of less importance. What really matters is what you do of it in the now. How do you take advantage of the knowledge you’ve acquired in various fields? And how can you transmit that into an artistic expression that is true to who you are?

Truth is, we are still working on how we want to transmit our thoughts into art too. We believe that this is a continuous process. It is even something that has to be allowed to take time. The key is just to never stop creating. For each piece and experiment you are one step closer to the artist you aim to be. Just as much as you will naturally evolve as an individual, your art will evolve along with you.

The breakpoint for us was the fact that we met and found the strength to give it a try together. Not everyone has the privilege of meeting that support in someone in their immediate surrounding. This is why we have committed to be that support for you to an as far extent as we possibly can. Because we know the struggle of not being accepted or taken serious. Especially the struggle of trying to “make something happen” without anywhere to turn for help from people in the field.
Artists should not be in competition. And yet, our society does its best to separate us into categories and create inevitable competition and comparison . What if we would support each other’s success instead? As the art business transitions more and more into the online space, it opens up for new perspectives of complementation as opposed to concurrences. Let’s complement each other with our unique approaches and creations instead of competing and taking other out of business.
Charles use to say that artists are each other’s best clients. There is much truth to it, but only so far that the artist is able to afford the other’s art. It is our shared responsibility to realise ways to create financial sustainability for creators without having to only rely on galleries or collectors. By creating long-lasting and scalable products online, you can create the means to fuel your own artistic endeavours, as well as desires to support other artists’ work. It will help you gain artistic freedom and contribute to the art-scene with authenticity.
