Who are Charles and Elin?
The married French/Swedish artist couple set out on their joint creative journey in Paris 2016. Fast forward a near decade and the couple has worked with luxury brands, hosted and partaken in exhibitions across Europe, published Mindful Embroidery (McMillan 2020) and taught thousands of students the art of modern hand embroidery through the Charles and Elin Academy. Today the studio is primarily run by Elin Petronella who also published Embroidery Wanderlust (2025) and runs the Art Magazine + Pattern Program with the same name.
